Project Blast Bidding

At Maple Leaf Powder Company we know how to bid blasting jobs. Use us as a sounding board to confirm your numbers. We will study the project plans and give you a breakdown of all your blasting associated costs. This includes explosives, detonators, drilling and labor, blasting mats, fly rock control, preshear and buffer lines, vibration and environmental concerns.

Our recommendations can give you best and worse case scenarios, allowing us to provide you with accurate information related to appropriate use of various explosives and detonators.

Blast Design

A key to a successful blasting job is starting out right with the correct design. At Maple Leaf Powder we design the blast to fit your equipment and the specifications of the job. Each project has its own unique concerns and situations. We have the experience to recognize the problem areas and design your blasting to address these. Our on site computer programs give you quick and effective response to all situations.

Preblast Surveys

Before any Blasting can take place an in depth site and surrounding area survey must be done. Digital photos and videos of all structures and equipment are recorded for preblast condition. Vibration, noise and pounds per delay levels are then adjusted to meet structural conditions.

MLP has worked in a sales capacity with all the major explosive suppliers. We know how their systems work. We know the individual product and service strengths of each company. Let us assist you in getting the best product for the job with the best service and price. Need a powder or detonator magazine?

We currently have several magazines available to rent. A phone call will secure a magazine for your site within hours.

Environment Damage control

At Maple Leaf Powder we know how to minimize the effects on the environment and the surrounding area. Whether it is a fish or marine habitat issue, a riparian zone, a delicate structure, or concerned citizens, we have been there before. Maple Leaf Powder has unique ways to minimize the impact on all of these.

Vibration and Sound Monitoring

With the use of high tech seismic equipment we will monitor your blasts. Through our vast experience we can determine ahead of time vibration levels to insure your pounds per delay will not over load the vibration to a nearby structure.
